Independence Bowl Partners with Venue Edge to Enhance Game Day Experience

SHREVEPORT, La. and WINTER PARK, Fla. (Aug. 29, 2019) – The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and Venue Edge (VE) are proud to announce a newly formed partnership – with the shared goal of enhancing the game day and fan experience, as well as re-energizing the in-venue look and style, for college football’s 11th oldest bowl game.

“We are very excited to work with David Saphirstein and Venue Edge. In just the early stages, David and the VE team have already proven to be great partners,” said Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Executive Director Missy Setters. “The fan experience, not only in Independence Stadium on game day but throughout bowl week, is such an important part of what we do, and Venue Edge will help us in our goal of making the fan experience more enjoyable, interactive and memorable for all fans of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl.”

The partnership will see the VE team serve as a creative and technical partner for all in-venue graphics, animations, scripting, activations and content. Venue Edge will work closely with the Independence Bowl staff and the bowl’s production partner, CSC Productions, to create an unique experience that showcases the look and style of Shreveport, La., and the region for players, coaches and fans – which will be showcased in Independence Stadium and leading up to the game on different channels.

Army West Point and a representative of the American Athletic Conference (AAC) are slated to match-up in the 46th Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl on Friday, December 23 at 2 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on ESPN, which will be the 30th-consecutive year the Independence Bowl will be televised on an ESPN network.

“We’re looking forward to our partnership with the Independence Bowl,” said Venue Edge Founder David Saphirstein. “We’re excited to create an outstanding experience for student-athletes, coaches and fans in Shreveport.”
