15th Annual Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Youth Football Clinic Hits the Field on Saturday, June 6

A summer staple on the Independence Bowl Foundation’s slate of year-round community events, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Youth Football Clinic returns to Independence Stadium for its 15th edition on Saturday, June 6 from 8-11 a.m.

Junior Tennis Classic Featured Around 150 Youth Tennis Players from Across North America

For the third straight year, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl welcomed youth tennis players from across North America to Shreveport-Bossier City for the annual Independence Bowl Junior Tennis Classic. Nearly 150 players from 11 different states, as well as one player from Calgary, Alberta, made the trip to the 318 for the USTA National Level 5 tournament.

Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Junior Tennis Classic Hits the Courts March 28-29

For the third consecutive year, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl will host youth tennis players from across the country for the annual Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Junior Tennis Classic. The USTA National Level 5 Tournament will be hosted on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, at Pierremont Oaks Tennis Club and various tennis venues across the Shreveport-Bossier City area.

The Seattle Seahawks dominated the New England Patriots, 29-13, in Super Bowl LX in a game that featured five former Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl players on the active rosters. Two Independence Bowl alumni added their names to the list of Super Bowl champions – wide receiver Jake Bobo (Duke, 2018) and running back Cam Akers (Florida State, 2017).

Shreveport-Native John Hoyet Chance Named the Inaugural Utility Player of the Game Presented by Delta Utilities

The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl awarded a new recognition for the first time in 2025 – the Utility Player of the Game presented by Delta Utilities, and the first ever winner of the award is Shreveport-native and Louisiana Tech punter John Hoyet Chance. He was announced as the Utility Player of the Game on the field after the conclusion of Louisiana Tech’s 23-14 victory over Coastal Carolina in the 2025 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl.
