2nd Annual High School Football Media Day, Presented by Xpress Car Wash, Returns on August 4

SHREVEPORT, La. (June 24, 2026) – After a successful inaugural event in 2025, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is set to host the 2nd Annual High School Football Media Day, presented by Xpress Car Wash, on Tuesday, August 4 at Independence Stadium.

“The inaugural High School Football Media Day was a tremendous success, receiving rave reviews from area high school coaches, local media representatives and everyone involved in the event,” said Erik Evenson, Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Director of Communications. “We are so excited to bring this event back for year two and expand it to include schools from seven additional Parishes.

“This event is such a tremendous platform to promote the top-notch high school football programs and student-athletes we have in our area, and we are proud to help give them the exposure they deserve. We could not do that without great partners like Xpress Car Wash and the local and regional media members who have been so supportive of this event.”

The inaugural edition featured 30 high school football teams from Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine and Webster Parishes. The 2026 version, presented by Xpress Car Wash for the first time, will expand to invite a total of 55 high schools from those nine Parishes and seven additional Parishes – Caldwell, Grant, Jackson, Lincoln, Ouachita, Union and Winn. Each high school will be invited to bring their head coach and two student-athletes to meet with local, regional and state-wide high school football media members.

All attendees must have a credential for admission. Media representatives can apply for credentials at RadianceTechnologiesIndependenceBowl.com/Media/HS-FB-Media-Day. Credential requests must be submitted by Friday, July 31, at 11:59 PM.

All attendees must apply for credentials before the credential application closes. No walk-up credentials will be provided on the day of the event. After submitting their application, applicants will receive an email indicating whether it has been accepted or denied. Applications will be thoroughly reviewed and limited strictly to legitimate media representatives who routinely cover local and regional high school football and/or specific local and regional high school football programs.
