LSU Shreveport Undefeated Baseball Team Named 2025 Carl Mikovich Sportsperson of the Year

The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl annually awards the Carl Mikovich Sportsperson of the Year Award to some of the greatest athletes and sports figures from the local area who shine a light on Shreveport-Bossier City through their contributions on and off the field, and the 2025 recipients of the award exemplify the very spirit of the award – the LSU Shreveport baseball team.

Radiance Technologies Extends Title Sponsorship Agreement Through at Least 2027 Independence Bowl

The Independence Bowl Foundation and Radiance Technologies announced on August 26 the extension of the title sponsorship of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl through at least the 2027 Bowl Season – with three additional one-year options to extend the agreement through 2030.

Game Tickets on Sale Now for 2025 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl

The countdown to the 2025 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is on, as the 2025 college football season kicks off later this month, and tickets to the 49th edition of Shreveport-Bossier City’s annual bowl game are now officially on sale to the public.

Bryan Roppolo Installed as 2023 Independence Bowl Foundation Chair

Bryan Roppolo, owner of Roppolo’s Insulation, was installed as the 2023 Chair of the Independence Bowl Foundation at the organization’s Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, March 9. Roppolo took over for the past chair, Rob Rubel, on the same night that the Independence Bowl Foundation also voted in the new executive committee and board of directors.
