2020 Willis-Knighton Community Service Scholarship Recipients Announced
The Independence Bowl Foundation and Willis-Knighton Health System are awarding scholarships to two graduating seniors from both Bossier and Caddo Parishes for the 15th-consecutive year, and the 2020 recipients of the Willis-Knighton/Independence Bowl Foundation Community Service Scholarship are Jaycie Keith of Haughton High School and Molly McNulty of C.E. Byrd High School.

Six days after securing Army West Point as the home team, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, ESPN and Bowl Season announced on Friday that the 2020 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl will kick off on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 7 p.m. EST/6 p.m. CST.

Some of America’s most outstanding and decorated citizens and groups have been honored with the Omar N. Bradley “Spirit of Independence” Award – presented each year at the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, and the Independence Bowl Foundation has selected retired United States Army Lieutenant General Joseph M. Cosumano, Jr. as the 44th recipient of the prestigious award.

Update on Independence Bowl Foundation’s Super Boil Sunday
Due to ongoing changes in state regulations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Independence Bowl Foundation event – Super Boil Sunday – will be moved to the Independence Stadium field and has shifted to a member and member-guest-only event, in compliance with the state and local COVID-19 regulations on public gatherings.

I-Bowl Alumni Abundant in NFL
The Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is heavily represented throughout the NFL’s 53-man final rosters – with 80 players who appeared in the annual Shreveport-Bossier City bowl game finding themselves on NFL rosters.
