The Independence Bowl Foundation partnered with the College Football Playoff Foundation’s Extra Yard for Teachers to donate to local teachers following the 2023 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl with their initiative Touchdown for Teachers, and a total of $11,000 was donated to 23 local teachers through Touchdown for Teachers.

The 2023 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl kicks off in 12 days, and fans have the opportunity to purchase Independence Bowl Foundation 50/50 Raffle tickets now through the end of the third quarter of the game on Saturday, December 16.
The 47th Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl is less than two weeks away, and the first Power Five matchup in seven years is set, as the California Golden Bears from the Pac-12 Conference will take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders out of the Big 12 Conference.
When fans enter Independence Stadium for the 2023 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl on Saturday, December 16, they will find three restaurants featured in concession stands. Sonic Drive-In, PJ’s Coffee and Texas Roadhouse will offer food options at the game.
For 18 years, the Independence Bowl Foundation and Willis-Knighton Health System have partnered to award two $2,500 Community Service Scholarships to one graduating senior from Caddo and Bossier Parishes. The recipients of the 18th annual scholarship are Analyce Jeane from North Caddo Magnet High School and Zachary Cryer from Benton High School.
Presenting one of the nation’s most outstanding and decorated citizens and groups with the Omar N. Bradley Spirit of Independence Award is one of the proudest annual traditions of the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl. The bowl will be honoring the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) with this award at the 47th Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl on Saturday, December 16.
After donating nearly $1,800 to local teachers in September, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and Extra Yard for Teachers donated an additional $5,096 to teachers in Caddo and Bossier Parishes in November. The Independence Bowl has donated $6,780 to local teachers in 2023.
An event established by Radiance Technologies and the Independence Bowl Foundation in 2022, the Radiance Technologies Innovation Bowl embarks on its second year. After a team from the University of Alabama at Birmingham took home the first $25,000 grand prize for the 2022-23 competition, the topics for the 2023-24 Innovation Bowl have been announced.
An annual tradition for the past decade, the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl will be awarding Caddo and Bossier Parish students from Kindergarten through 12th grade with tickets to the 2023 Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl through the “Show Your Independence” Art Contest. The winners – first, second and third place from each grade – were announced on Friday and will receive two tickets each to the bowl game on Saturday, December 16.
